Literacy Project
The Literacy Project brings readers of all ages together through community drives and hands-on activities. From collecting and donating books to providing literacy kits for classrooms, we work to make sure every child has the tools they need to become a confident reader.
Service Projects
Book Donation Drives
We run community book drives to collect new and gently used books for readers of all ages. Donated books are distributed to schools, daycares, and nursing homes in our community. Books that aren't eligible for direct donation are repurposed into materials that support literacy kits for local schools — so every book collected makes a difference.
Adopt-a-Classroom Literacy Kits
Through fundraising drives, we provide literacy kits to elementary school classes at Title I schools. Each kit is tailored to the age group of the classroom and includes books, flashcards, reading aids, and learning materials designed to help develop reading skills. By "adopting" a classroom, we give teachers and students the resources they need to build a strong reading foundation.
